When I cooked my first batch of rice with this cooker I was surprised that the manual calls for a 1 to 1 ratio of water to rice. With my previous experience I thought that this was absurd and that the rice would not be cooked thouroughly. I followed the instructions and the rice was cooked to perfection! I have not used the cooker for anything else besides rice, but so far I am very pleased! Other cookers - ud have to soak it and wait for the rice to come out -. I have cooked rice for 10 people comfortably in this cooker - very efficient. The only problem i had was sometimes rice gets sticky - especially if you use the thai scented rice - i tend to leave the rice in for about 20 minutes after it turns to the keep warm mode- overall no complaints!
